The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost a hard fought game at Darlington on Friday night, 87-79.
At halftime, the score at Darlington was 50-18. We were not looking like the team that beat the Falcons three days ago and Darlington was shooting 87%.
In the locker room, Senior, Ayden Hickman told his team, “We are only down by 32 points. We can still come back…..” then detailed for them what they needed to do.
Coach Craig Martin also didn’t seem worried. Saying after the game, “I was confident we would fight back and make it a game.”
What a testament to these Seahawks, that they did JUST that. Myrtle Beach came within 5 points in the 4th quarter before time ran out on them. We couldn’t be prouder of how they played in the face of immense challenges. They all showed good sportsmanship, trust in one another, and #TENACITY.
